This is a brief outline of the requirements to achieve this promotion. A more detailed curriculum is available at our school.

Tae Kwon Do Rank Promotions

Students must attend at least (8) classes every month in order to be eligible for promotion which is an average of 40 classes, after Purple Belt an added (8) classes. The required classes increase as detailed below:

The average time-in-rank for color belt promotion is as follows:
 
HI WHITE BELT - TWO (2) MONTHS (16 CLASSES)

YELLOW BELT - TWO (2)  MONTHS (16 CLASSES)
HI YELLOW - TWO (2) MONTHS (16 CLASSES)

ORANGE BELT - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)
HI ORANGE - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)

GREEN BELT - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)
HI GREEN BELT - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)

BLUE BELT - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)
HI BLUE - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)
 
PURPLE BELT - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)
HI PURPLE - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES) CLASSES)

BROWN BELT - SIX (6) MONTHS (48 CLASSES)
HI BROWN - SIX (6) MONTHS (48 CLASSES)

BLACK BELT - ONE (1) YEAR (96 CLASSES)
